Guatemalan Minor Dies in US Custody, Third Migrant Child Since December

 

16-year-old Juan de Leon Gutierrez, a minor traveling from Guatemala to join his brother in the US to work in order to buy corn and salt for his family back home, died while in federal custody after his arrest by border patrol agents days after crossing the border, making his the third migrant child death since December.
