Three students conducting experiments on wastewater treatment in the Environmental Engineering Laboratory at Beijing Jiaotong University in China died after an explosion ripped through the test site, blowing out windows of adjacent buildings and sending more than 30 firetrucks to the scene in order to get the blaze under control.
