Brunei Changes Course on Death Penalty For Gay Sex
The Sultan of Brunei announced that its nation will not impose a death penalty by stoning for people convicted of adultery and performing gay sex, backing away from strict interpretation of Islamic legislation rolled out last month, yet homosexuality remains illegal in the country, punishable by fines and up to 10 years in prison.
