South Dakota Governor Asks Help From Feds to Shutdown American Indian Covid-19 Checkpoints
South Dakato Governor Kristi Noem asked the federal government for help to shut down American Indian Covid-19 checkpoints allegedly set up to aid in coronavirus contact tracing and to stop the spread of the disease, arguing it's illegal to hamper with traffic on state and federal highways, but tribal leaders say they have no jurisdiction on roads running through Indian land.
