Award-winning Japanese actress and mother of two Yuko Takeuchi, best known for her roles in the 1998 horror film "Ringu" adapted as "The Ring" in 2002, and more recently as the female Sherlock Holmes in the Hulu and HBO drama "Miss Sherlock", died at the age of 40 in her home from an apparent suicide.
