At least 48 people died and more than 60 others suffered injuries when a train carrying 490 passengers derailed while passing through a tunnel along the coast of eastern Taiwan, after the engine crashed into a construction vehicle which slid onto the tracks from a nearby hillside, making it one of country's worst railway accident in decades.
