Former FARC Leader Killed by Colombian Commandos in Venezuela

 

Prominent former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) leader Jesus Santrich, who had been on the run for three years after abandoning a peace deal he brokered with the government in 2016, an accord which ended a 52-year war between guerillas and the military, died after Colombian commandos attacked a truck carrying the ex-commander while he traveled through Venezuela.
