A United States federal court sentenced El Shafee Elsheikh to life in prison, a member of an Islamic State cell known as the "The Beatles" because of their English accents, responsible for a scheme that took more than two dozen Western hostages who were killed during videotaped beheading executions which circulated online during the wars in Iraq and Syria nearly a decade ago.
