Hamas, the ruling governing authority in the Gaza Strip, says it has executed five Palestinians, two being found guilty on charges of espionage for "collaboration" with the nation of Israel which dated back to 2015 and 2009, and three others for murder, the first such capital punishment carried out in the Palestinian territories since 2017.
