US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called for a push for an "immediate halt to fighting and a peace settlement" after some of the worse clashes since 2020 broke out in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, a large-scale provocation which killed hundreds of troops, with Azerbaijan accusing Armenia of violating a cease-fire agreement.
