A massive landslide caused my several months of heavy rainfall swept over the Andean mountain town of Alausi, about 137 miles (220km) south of the capital city of Quito in central Ecuador, killing at least 16 people, injuring 23 and leaving more than 46 missing, as rescue workers and search teams continue to search for survivors.
