An avalanche hit a scenic mountain pass and popular tourist destination along the border with China, connecting Tibet to Gangtok near Nathu La in India's Himalayan state of Sikkim, killing seven people and trapping 30 others inside their vehicles, as many took pictures of the surrounding area near a stream, according to a statement by the Indian army.
