Two US military jets scrambled to intercept an unresponsive Cessna Citation carrying a Manhattan real-estate broker, her two-year-old daughter and a Jamaican caretaker when it flew over Washington DC, after the pilot of the plane, seen slumped over and passed out, was unable to take control, inevitably causing the aircraft to crash in a mountainous region in rural Virginia, killing all on board.
