Armed Men Invade Live Broadcast in Ecuador, Attack Studio Crew

 

Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa declared a state of emergency after escalating violence throughout the region, including the disappearance of a notorious gangster from his prison cell and an incident were more than a dozen masked gunmen carrying pistols, semi-automatic weapons and explosives invaded the live broadcast of a public television channel of the Ecuadorian TC Television network in Guayaquil, the nation's largest city, and attacked members of the studio crew.
