The Iranian government blamed both the United States and Israel for a recent airstrike that destroyed its consulate building in the Syrian capital city of Damascus, an attack which killed at least twelve people, including Syrian citizens, two commanders of the Revolutionary Guard and a member of the Hezbollah militant group, stoking fears from the West of retaliation from Tehran.
