More Than 300 Dead, 1,600 Injured in Afghanistan Flooding

 

Authorities declared a state of emergency in multiple provinces in Afghanistan, including the hardest hit northern state of Baghlan, after heavy rainfall caused severe flash flooding in both agricultural and residential villages, destroying and damaging thousands of homes, buildings and roads, killing more 300 people and injuring at least 1,600.
