Cuba Experiences Nationwide Blackout From Power Grid Failure

 

The island nation of Cuba suffered a nationwide black-out, just days before being hit by category 1 Hurricane Oscar, after the electrical grid collapsed at the Antonio thermoelectrical plant while experiencing a "complete disconnection", leaving millions of citizens without power and sending non-essential worker home in an effort to conserve power, according to the communist nation's Ministry of Energy.
