World's Largest Gold Deposit Worth an Estimated $100 Billion Found in China

 

Geologists in southeastern China discovered a least 40 veins of gold ore stretching more than 6,500 feet (2,000 meters) below the ground at a goldfield in Pingjiang County, Hunan province containing 1,000 tons of gold (35.2 million oz), making it possibly the world's largest known deposit worth an estimated $100 billion.
