Mexican authorities say 11 people belonging to the powerful Sinaloa cartel died during a military raid to capture drug kingpin Omar Oswaldo Torres, aka "El Patas" in Los Mayos, a village on the outskirts of the capital city of Culiacan, Sinaloa state, along with his daughter, who they determined had no ties to the criminal organization.
