Sri Lanka Navy, Volunteers Save 100 Beached Pilot Whales in Country's Biggest Mass Stranding


The Sri Lankan navy and a team of local villagers made up of police and volunteer lifeguards saved more than 100 beached short-finned pilot whales off the southwestern coast near the capital of Colombo in the country's biggest mass stranding on record, returning to the water all but four which did not survive.
