Taliban Seizes Main Tajikistan Border Crossing in Afghanistan, Security Forces Flee

 

Officials confirmed the capture of Shir Khan Bandar by the Taliban, Afghanistan's main border crossing to Tajikistan in the far north of the country about 30 miles from Kunduz city, a seizure which reportedly caused security forces guarding the dry port to abandon their post, with some fleeing across the frontier.
