Satellite images showed multiple eruptions of the enormous Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha'apai underwater volcano in the South Pacific's Ring of Fire, which sent plumes of ash into the sky and caused tsunamis as high as 9 feet tall to hit the coasts of Japan, Hawaii and Tonga's largest island Tongatapu.
