At least 10 people were confirmed dead with 16 others still missing, after the Japanese tourist boat "Kazu 1" sunk near the tip of Cape Shiretoko off the coast of the island of Hokkaido, when the vessel apparently ran into rough waters while taking its passengers on a scenic wildlife tour.
