A Baltimore judge overturned the 2000 murder conviction of Adnan Syed, a case made hugely popular by the 2014 'Serial' podcast which shed light on doubts and inconsistencies surrounding the death of his former girlfriend Hae Min Lee, ruling that the state violated its legal obligation to share evidence which may have changed the outcome of the verdict.
