Suicide Attack at Peshawar Mosque Kills 47, Wounds Over 150

 

The Tehreek-e-Taliban, also known as the Pakastani Taliban (TTP), claimed responsibility for a suicide bomber who detonated his vest inside the walled compound of a crowded, predominately Sunni mosque surrounded by government office buildings, including a police station and jail, in the city of Peshawar, killing 47 people and wounding more than 150 others.
