A cargo train collided with a Egarosindor Godhuli passenger train en route to Dhaka, just outside the capital city in eastern Bangladesh, killing at least 17 people and injuring many others, with authorities giving no exact cause of the crash, though accidents are common in the region due to unsupervised railway crossings, poor signaling and bad track conditions.
