Jailed human rights activist and freedom fighter, Narges Mohammadi, who has been serving a 30-year sentence inside Tehran's Evin Prison due to her opposition against capital punishment, won this year's Nobel Peace Prize for her work against "the oppression of women in Iran", while the Iranian government condemned the award, calling it "biased and politically motivated," according to an official spokesperson.
