The Health Ministry of the Gaza Strip says that the death toll from the Israel-Gaza war has surpassed more than 12,000 people, mostly civilians, as fighting continues to intensify from an Israeli ground invasion on Hamas in and around Gaza City, with homes, roads, hospitals and other infrastructure targeted and destroyed, as international protests and calls for restraint worry worldwide governments of the war spreading to outside regions.
