Torrential Rains Cause Flooding and Landslides, Killing 27 in Southeast Brazil

 

Devastating flooding and landslides brought on by heavy rains destroyed homes, roads and vehicles in the southeastern Brazilian states of Rio de Janeiro and Espirito Santo, causing the most damage in the municipalities of Mimoso du Sol and Petropolis, as rescuers continue to search for survivors from the deluge which killed at least 27 people.
