Passenger Bus Plunges Into Himalayan Gorge Leaving 36 Dead, Six Injured

 

An overcrowded bus built for the capacity of only 42, but carrying 60 passengers, crashed while traveling from Garhwal to the tourist town of Ramnagar through the northern Indian Himalayan mountainous region of Uttarakhand, after it skidded off the road and plunged into a 200-foot (60-meter) gorge, leaving 36 people dead and six others injured.
