A stampede at a large outdoor music festival hosting more than 10 bands in the western Guatemalan city of Quetzaltenango killed nine people, including two 12-year-old children, and injured at least 20 others during Independence Day celebrations, with authorities blaming the tragedy on the set up of the venue, which only provided two exits.
