The Nobel Prize for Literature given by the Swedish Academy in Stockholm was awarded to U.K. based, Zanzibar-born novelist Abdulrazak Gurnah for his body of work on the "effects of colonialism and the fate of the refugee", the first African writer to win the prize since 2007. See Full Story>
